Order of The Divine Right
Led by a man more shadow than reality, the Divine Right is an over-funded militia like movement, with the power of religious zealotry on their side. No one is aware were their weapons or funding comes from, only that they have it. No member has ever seen their leader face to face; he prefers to talk through transmissions, hidden in secrecy and shadow.
Organization-
High-Master – The Shadow that controls the Divine Right. He has never shown his face, nor lets his natural voice be heard. He authorizes the military action of the Divine Right, and all changes of plans and structure must go through him.
The Holy Father- Father Ira, the man who originally started the Divine Right, but who has appointed others he feels more suited to the running of the organization. He still handles all high level spirtual issues, and the interrorgations of mutants and mutant sympathizers are overseen by him.
Prayer Master- Serving as Captain and Chaplain, Antony Decocco is the public leader of the Divine Right. A former military man, he has the right set of mind to lead an underground war campaign against the mutant ‘scum’. He leads fiery sermons on the purity of soul, mind, and body, and how the Divine Right is doing God’s work by crushing the mutated folk of the city.
Sergeant-At-Arms- The leader of the Divine Rights military forces, who takes his orders directly from the Prayer Master. The S.a.A is a man known only as Curt, a harsh, scared man, who has been described as ‘tougher than forged steel’. He served under Decocco in the military, and follows his word without asking questions. Any thought to betray the Divine Right fall to his wrath. Any who question his orders, are taken to the punishment cells, and few are seen again, and those who are never speak of their ordeal.
Divine Templar- The highest trained soldier in the Divine Right. Upon becoming a Templar, they swear an oath of silence, never to be broken. They wear black fatigues, with a white tabard over them, the Cross Templar in black across their chests. They are trained in hand to hand combat, and armed combat. The Templar carries a sword across his back, and will take an enemies life with his blade if he can. They are known to crucify their fallen enemies in the streets, painting the symbol of their Order on their chest.
They Templar’s are known to practice branding, both to burn away their sins and to mark their accomplishments for the Divine Right. For a Templar to be branded upon the face is to mean he is a great warrior, and has served unquestioningly with no thought of taint in him.
Divine Hospitaller- The Medic Force of the Divine Right. Trained with as much EMT knowledge as possible, these men are distinguished by their green clothing, with a black tabard and Red Cross Hospitaller emblazoned on it. They are just as secretive as the Templar’s, only speaking to give medical instruction. The practice self-flagellation in the form of whipping themselves in their Spartan cells, to pay for their sins to God.
Adepts/Soldiers- The newest members of the order are known as Adepts. Put through rigorous training and psychological tortures by the Sergeant-At-Arms and the Templar men, more adepts are known to crack and be put to death by the Order than to become a soldier of the Order. The Adepts and Soldiers fight together, the thought being the more experienced men can keep the adepts from getting hurt. They are the least trained and least equipped, many moving more towards hand to hand combat tools than firearms.
The Divine Right has no clear agenda, other than their soldiers and adepts battle cries of “Do Not Suffer The Mutant!”
For some reason unknown to any, they are aggressive to the mutant folk, and their greatest enemies are the mutant gangs and the Mutant Religious Organization, the Heretics Invictus. They have not met in an open battle yet, but many would say the Battle is coming.
