Okay! After giving thing a bit of thought I decided that maybe we need a bit of a professions list of sorts. Keep in mind you are NOT limited to these professions, they are merely suggestions should you have difficulty figuring one out.
Scientist:
Clarensford was a place full of scientists, doctors and mechanic's alike, so despite there being a massive explosion that killed all the secret scientists, there are still other scientists wandering the streets... provided they aren't eaten or killed...
Military Dog:
Yes, you guys CAN play as military folk - HOWEVER! This DOES have a level of requirements:
- You MUST be human and over the age of 20
- You SHOULD be racist against mutants - they're the reason you're here, they're freaks and they freak you out. Granted after awhile you MAY come to realize that they're just disfigured people, but right at the start you shouldn't like them.
- You MUST be patrol officers. Nobody can play as a blockade officer as that would be silly and boring... "So-and-so stood at the blockade waiting for a mutant to walk by." So let's just avoid that... kay?
Mechanic:
Keep in mind that while technology is partially more advanced than what we have today, it's not flying cars and mecha gear advanced. However. People DO need inventors and fixer's for whatever they may have issues with. Keep in mind cars are a luxury as gas is pretty close to non-existent now, due to the explosion. However mechanics are able to create and invent... but keep in mind while plotting to make mecha-gear, that it WILL be VERY rudimentary. I don't care HOW ingenious or intelligent your character is, no-one can make gear that's epically awesome looking the first 100 tries.
Doctor:
Even in the Apocalypse we have doctors. Their equipment may be lacking but they can still diagnose, cure and possibly experiment should the subject be willing (crazy evil scientist doctors ARE accepted, but don't expect it without a fight if you're a first-time player).
Student:
Okay this really ISN'T a profession per-say, however, the students are the future. Should some random student do the same as our more clumsy graduate, though the results not be as explosive, he could end up finding the cure (the chances of this are slim to none, so don't be getting any bright ideas).
Okay, more will be added to the list as the storyline progresses or ideas come up.
